One step at a time, Bibi aims to reach 2030 by contributing even more to a better future, benefiting children, the planet, and our people. To achieve this, Bibi has established commitments that are already being put into action.
Sustainable Origin
Bibi is the first children's footwear brand to be certified with the Diamond Sustainable Origin (Origem Sustentável) Seal, the highest level of certification for Brazilian companies that integrate sustainable practices into their production process.
Social responsibility
Bibi nurtures the health and well-being of its employees with benefits such as an extensive health plan, 50% cover of daycare fees and a 10% Profit-Share scheme. They are very proud to contribute to employment and wealth creation in the regions in which they operate.
Non-toxic materials
Bibi continuously develops all raw materials, inputs and products in compliance with REACH regulations. This includes monitoring over 100 suppliers and 2,600 materials to ensure all footwear is produced is non-toxic.
Energy consumption and CO₂
100% of the electricity Bibi consumes comes from certified renewable sources, such as wind and solar. In 2020, Bibi began monitoring the greenhouse gas emissions generated by their activities, and over the next few years they will be expanding the scope of this mapping to all their operations and supply chain.
Recycling and downcycling
100% of the materials used at Bibi are reused or recycled. In the last year alone, 55% of their waste was recycled and 45% was transformed into eco-friendly fertilisers.
Sustainable packaging
Shoe boxes are made from 100% recycled material, certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). Delivery bags and returns bags are made of certified compostable material and can be reused for household organic waste.
